About the vacancy

Join us as we start our journey. The Crown and Treaty is a historic pub that's currently being lovingly refurbished and will be reopening in October serving freshly prepared food every day to guests in our restaurant, bars and function rooms. As chef de partie you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen such as fish, grill, saute or vegetable, which you will keep organised so that dishes go out on time and the work area and kitchen remains clean and orderly. Your working week will be a minimum of 30 hours per week and opportunity for over-time. Qualifications required: 
GCSE passes in Maths and English are preferred but not essential. However, one year experience working as a commis chef in a kitchen is minimum.
Personal qualities: 
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, while supervising other staff. You will love working as part of a team and you will have great communication skills while also being reliable, trustworthy and dedicated.
Things to consider: 
Skills required: 
Good communication skills and time keeping is essential. You should also have a good work ethic and ability to self-motivate and manage yourself and others. You'll demonstrate attention to detail, be passionate about cooking and be obsessed with quality all whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Future prospects: 
Full time working as a line chef at the Crown and Treaty or one of our sister pubs.
