Business Consultant

The role of a Business Consultant is integral to the sustained growth of our business. You will be engaging with stakeholders to develop new business opportunities across a variety of sectors and securing learners for a range of qualifications which include Apprenticeships and commercial courses. Working collaboratively with the Business Manager you will design and implement an area marketing and sales strategy to meet the needs of the business. Through the work you do, you will not only be supporting securing future SFA contracts, but increasing the standards and reputation of the industry.

Typical deliverables (this list is not exhaustive and you are expected to undertake any reasonable activity suited to your qualifications and experience)​

  • Work collaboratively with Business and Sector Managers to support the desired outcomes for their Business Unit
  • Design and implement an area marketing and sales strategy
  • Compile and maintain internal and external data and update our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Engage with local stakeholders, account manage and develop new business
  • Market and raise HIT and C2C’s profile
  • Engage and support National accounts
  • Deliver agreed levels of new business

 

Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications 

  • Experience of sales / business development within an apprenticeship work-based learning environment 
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems 
  • Track record of delivering sales targets 
  • Knowledge of local businesses and opportunities 
  • Possess a minimum of (or working towards) level 2 standard in Maths and English 
  • Excellent IT skills – working level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other MIS and databases

Your performance will be measured on the outcome of your activities, quality of delivery and your contribution to the success of our business. You will have regular meetings with your Manager to discuss specific priorities and deliverables and to receive feedback.
