Team leading intermediate apprenticeship

This 12 month apprenticeship consists of

  • NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading
  • Functional Skills Maths (Level 1)
  • Functional Skills English (Level 1)
  • Functional Skills ICT (Level 1)
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

This BTEC qualification is for team leaders who are primarily concerned with motivating their team members to achieve agreed outputs with limited authority for deploying resources. 

This qualification recognises their ability to apply knowledge and skills to perform effectively to bring tangible benefits to their workplace. 

The qualification aims to give participants an opportunity to develop the core competences needed by today’s team leaders. If you become responsible for staff as a shift leader or supervisor you could progress to the Hospitality Leadership and Supervision at level three and with further progression to ILM Management at levels four and five.

Entry requirements

To start an apprenticeship with HIT Training you have to be aged 16 years or over and must be working in the hospitality and catering sector for at least 16 hours a week. You also need to be a resident in England and not taking part in full-time education.

If you are not yet employed, HIT advertises apprenticeship vacancies with employers on the National Apprenticeship website. This is a free service and there are many apprenticeship opportunities available. You can find and apply for HIT's current Apprenticeship Vacancies here
