Jo is fascinated by how different flavour profiles can give a dish something special and loves watching people enjoy her food. Pastry is Jo’s guilty pleasure because it’s the wow factor at the end of a meal – and is always a treat. Top kitchen gadget is the spatula because it has so many uses - scraping, picking up, smoothing off and portioning. BaxterStorey, Wellcome Genome Campus This is a research centre into human genetics with 2700 staff. BaxterStorey runs a wellbeing counter on site which focuses on health and nutrition, and fresh local, seasonal produce. It includes a fresh pizza counter and traditional counter. Apprenticeships are part of the company’s culture and give team members invaluable experience and knowledge at site level.
