Brewer Introduction – Industry Knowledge

In this workshop, apprentices are introduced to the brewing process step by step.

Summary

Apprentices learn about the rich history of brewing through the ages as well as the UK and international beer market.

Commercial awareness of brewery operation and all brewery inputs and outputs. control of costs associated with production in response to drivers of brewery operation and performance, maintaining and upgrading brewery assets, plant and equipment as well as decisions on plant investment and improvements.

The heritage and structure of the beer industry, as well as the significance of changing market trends and drivers of consumer preferences.

The workshop completes with a review of beer styles and an interactive sensory session.
