Rob joined HIT in 2007 as IT support manager and headed up the ICT department from 2012.
Although he spent his early career in hospitality, his interest in IT grew as he realised how ground-breaking technology can improve working methods.
In true apprenticeship-style, he learned the role on the job and now supports multiple systems across all levels of staff and management.
“It’s about working smarter not harder,” says Rob. “I truly believe that apprenticeships are actually far more valuable in terms of real life experience and a much better alternative to university for many.”
When not working, Rob enjoys spending time with his family and children.
