EnquireDevelop the leadership and people relations skills you need to excel and drive success in busy hospitality settings.
Learn how to lead teams and deliver excellent customer service in bars, restaurants, hotels and more through this hospitality apprenticeship.
Alongside the core modules designed to build essential hospitality skills, you can choose a speciality area such as food and beverage, housekeeping, events management or front office to tailor your learning to your chosen career. As well as empowering you to manage both team and customer relations, this programme focuses on developing business acumen so you can take charge of the success of your organisation.
For those who have previously completed a hospitality supervisor apprenticeship, this programme offers the perfect step up to a management-level role.
Driven by a relentless passion for ensuring customer satisfaction, this programme is designed to nurture a strong sense of responsibility among future managers and encourage leaders to take ownership of their business’s vision and objectives.
Possessing excellent business acumen is a core focus of this apprenticeship ensuring managers are skilled in managing both people and customer relations.
Employers will set their own entry requirements in order to start this apprenticeship.
The minimum duration is 8 months, our recommended duration for this programme is 15 months.
Progression from this apprenticeship could be onto an operational management level 5 apprenticeship or a degree apprenticeship.
The amount your organisation contributes will depend on whether you pay the apprenticeship levy and the age of your apprentice.
For new starts from 1 August 2026, eligible apprentices aged 16–24 can have their training and assessment fully funded up to the apprenticeship funding band maximum.
Non-levy employers normally contribute 5% of eligible training and assessment costs for apprentices aged 25 and over, with government funding the remaining 95%.
Levy-paying employers use the funds available in their apprenticeship service account. If those funds are exhausted, training for eligible apprentices aged 16–24 is fully government funded; for apprentices aged 25 and over, the employer contributes 25% and government contributes 75%.
Funding rules and eligibility vary, so we will confirm the funding available before an apprentice starts.
Level 4
If an apprentice is aged 16-18 and has not previously achieved the required level of English and maths, they will need to complete Functional Skills as part of their hospitality apprenticeship programs.
While Functional Skills are no longer mandatory for adult apprentices (19+), literacy and numeracy skills remain essential for success.
For those without prior English and Maths qualifications, we recommend level 1 maths and level 2 English to support career growth and workplace efficiency.
Our tailored support ensures these skills are seamlessly integrated into the apprenticeship journey, helping every apprentice develop these vital skills.
The Apprenticeship Assessment (AA) for the Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship includes:
HIT Training assigns a designated Vocational Trainer to each apprentice. Alongside the apprentice they will agree on a personal learning and development plan, setting a timetable of learning activities in preparation for the Apprenticeship Assessment (AA).
The HIT Vocational Trainer will meet with the apprentice regularly either online or face to face to complete and review assessments, provide further coaching where required and agree the next steps of learning.
