This programme provides an exciting gateway into event management equipping learners with the skills to organise events for diverse clients, including large corporations, small businesses and charitable organisations.
This course takes a minimum of 18 months to complete.
The event assistant plays a pivotal role in executing tasks necessary to plan, organise and deliver unforgettable events and this programme gives invaluable insight into the events industry's intricacies and best practices.
Underpinned by a series of interactive online workshops, event assistants will learn about location scouting and how to discover the perfect venue, design collaboration and working with creative teams to craft the right ambience, and logistics including organising transportation and catering.
Employers will set their own entry requirements in order to start this apprenticeship, but typically requires five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.

Progression from this apprenticeship is expected to be into a leadership role or onto a higher apprenticeship

To complete the apprenticeship the apprentice must pass level 2 English and maths (or have the appropriate exemption certificate) before undertaking their end point assessment.
The End Point Assessment (EPA) for the Event Assistant Apprenticeship includes:
HIT Training assigns a designated Vocational Trainer to each apprentice. Alongside the apprentice they will agree on a personal learning and development plan, setting a timetable of learning activities in preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA).
The HIT Vocational Trainer will meet with the apprentice regularly either online or face to face to complete and review assessments, provide further coaching where required and agree the next steps of learning.
