It’s been a good journey and quite a learning curve but Neil and the HIT team have been there to support me all the way.

If someone had told me at the start of my career that I’d be in a supervisor position within three years, I wouldn’t have believed them.

I’m thrilled to have completed the new Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship! The encouragement I’ve had from my manager and HIT has been second to none. I would definitely recommend a hospitality apprenticeship to anyone.

Completing the apprenticeship meant going the extra mile to improve myself, so I could progress further within the company. I feel that I am much calmer as a result and that I cope better in leading the team.

I’ve learnt so many new skills and I make sure that I apply everything I learn to my job. My HIT trainer has been a great help every step of the way and I feel I have so much support from start to finish.

The apprenticeships are such an amazing route to take if you are thinking about a career as a chef. They teach you so much and give you that extra confidence boost when you receive your completion certificates. 

I cannot thank HIT and Hannah enough for all their help and support. It is a real pleasure to work with them. Together we give young people attention and hope for the future and our relationship does not end the minute they walk out the door.

The encouragement I’ve had from my manager to study and learn as much as I can in order to benefit my future career, has been second to none. My trainer assessor has also helped me every step of the way.

Working with HIT Training is perfect because their Trainer Assessors come to the work place to train and assess the staff. This is a big bonus – rather than losing everybody on one set day for them to go to college.

My apprenticeships have been invaluable in helping to build my career as a chef, although I had received brilliant training from the chefs at my first job, the apprenticeship has opened so many doors for me and allowed me to be the best chef I can be.

The apprenticeship programme with HIT really fits in with my working hours and my personal life, and I get on really well with my Assessor.  It has been a great experience all round.

I cannot fault the course. It has had such a positive impact on Sophie, our staff and our business. We are very much looking forward to Sophie progressing even further as a manager and learning more about our business in the hospitality industry

I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone looking to get into the Hospitality Industry. Being able to train whilst on the job has suited me so well, and I have had a lot of guidance from my Trainee Assessor, who is always on hand to answer my questions and make sure I am developing.

I was delighted to gain a recognised qualification and to overcome the significant learning barriers that I’d faced throughout my school life.  Being able to work with my HIT trainer-assessor to discuss my career options and set goals that I could work towards made a huge difference to me. 

I learnt a great deal through the apprenticeship, not only in relation to the actual job but I feel that working towards the qualification at the time of interview gave me the edge over other candidates. The apprenticeship gave me the chance to learn a wide variety of skills – and knowing I’m the first learner to achieve this qualification with HIT is a real boost to me!

I always knew I wanted to work in a busy environment where I could regularly interact with people, and my current role allows me to do that, with the added responsibility of helping others learn valuable skills.  With HIT’s help I’ve really enjoyed studying for my apprenticeships and I’m looking forward to learning even more so that I can continue to offer an exceptional level of customer service.

Josh’s hard work and determination over the years has been rewarded through promotions and it’s been a joy to support his progress up through the company going from bar person, to team leader and more recently into his current role as assistant manager.

I wanted to get the most out of my training and qualifications so that I could develop a real career path.  I had to work hard and combine my studies with long shifts, but I’ve always applied what I’ve learnt to my job, and it’s been great to see how that has paid off. I’ve had a fantastic journey so far!

The experience I’ve gained in the catering world so far has been really eye-opening and has encouraged me to work even harder as there are so many talented chefs out there.  With HIT’s help I’ve learnt so much and this gave me the motivation to continue learning. I am now fulfilling my ambitions of becoming a successful chef in this excellent industry.

HIT Training is an amazing company. I recommend it to all my friends because they are like me and can’t really learn in a classroom. That’s also why this is the perfect job for me. Hospitality is the industry I want to be in and I’m working and learning about it at the same time. It’s the full package

I saw the benefits that the Apprenticeship could provide and it was good because it tied in with what I was doing and has certainly helped with my progression and promotion. The Level 3 training helped advance me so I could land the head receptionist’s job when it became available

Not being a manager before, the Hospitality Supervision & Leadership Apprenticeship (Level 3) helped me adjust to the transition between the roles. I was lucky as I was able to grow into the manager position with the help of the apprenticeship. The higher mangement apprenticeship helped me to progress to bar manager and subsequently assistant manager.

I would highly recommend a hospitality apprenticeship as it’s a great way to learn the industry inside out and of course, to earn while you learn. My apprenticeship not only gave me the qualifications to progress in my career, but it significantly boosted my confidence and belief in my own abilities

As a mum and very busy with the family, I couldn’t consider college or classroom learning. Therefore it was more suitable for me to do the apprenticeship and gain qualifications whilst at work with one-to-one training and mentoring with an assessor

This apprenticeship has given me confidence to carry out the job on my own and tackle any issues that arise. Since completing the apprenticeship I’ve been promoted to full-time maintenance technician where I now help with the supervision and training of new apprentices and act as their mentor

I decided to earn as I learned - Why rake up mounting loans at Uni when I could learn to do something I’d love and earn money to support myself at the same time – it just made so much sense. Apprenticeships really give you a feel for the job - the hands-on approach was the way forward for me and I’d recommend it to any young person

I’m a practical person who prefers to learn on the job so the Apprenticeship suited my learning style and variable shift patterns. This job is very customer-focused and interaction is a big part of my role.

The apprenticeship has helped me recognise this and has given me the additional skills and knowledge to be successful.

My apprenticeship has really helped me gain a greater understanding of the in-depth knowledge required to run an excellent business. I want to increase my skill level and management experience, and I’m delighted that I’m able to combine a job I love with working towards a qualification that will help me to further my career
