HIT Training Recognised at the Foodservice Cateys 2018

HIT Training has won the ‘Supplier Excellence’ award at the annual Foodservice Cateys 2018. The winners were announced at a glittering event on 12th October at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel.

Recognising foodservice employees across the UK, from chefs to procurement teams, the peer-group awards reward those individuals and teams that work diligently to make sure their business delivers an exceptional service every day.

The award for Supplier Excellence was bestowed upon HIT Training in recognition of its unique Chef Academy and the value it consistently delivers to employers and end users – helping foodservice businesses to develop their proposition and provide a service that exceeds expectations.

HIT Training’s Chef Academy team – spearheaded by Principal, Paul Mannering – runs innovative training workshops across the country for the culinary stars of the future. The Academy, which launched in 2015, aims to meet the demand for highly skilled chefs in the foodservice industry and supplements the Professional Chef Apprenticeship programme.

Paul Mannering, Principal of the HIT Chef Academy said, “When I first concepted the HIT Chef Academy programme, I wanted there to be ‘surprise and delight’ elements which would really benefit the learners, help inspire and make the course stand out as a leading example within the industry. The team’s passion to help learners progress and meet their career goals, as well as support employers in building a highly skilled team to tackle the skills shortage, is second to none. We are thrilled to have won the Supplier Excellence award.”

HIT Training Managing Director, Jill Whittaker added, “The HIT Chef Academy is at the forefront of learning developments, working closely with industry bodies to influence and design new training programmes. The Academy was recently recognised as one of the best training programmes seen by Ofsted. Paul Mannering and his team thoroughly deserve this recognition of their ongoing commitment to the foodservice industry.”

The judges said HIT Training “is an organisation that is constantly evolving and developing its training offer. It is just what the industry needs right now.”
