HIT Training LTD Receives Royal Recognition for Outstanding Training Impact

HIT Training LTD is proud to announce that it has been honoured with a prestigious Princess Royal Training Award in recognition of its internal staff development programmes and apprenticeships, and the remarkable impact they have had on workforce development in 2024. HIT Training LTD is one of just 52 organisations to receive this distinguished award, which will be presented by HRH Princess Royal, President of City & Guilds of London Institute later this year.

The Princess Royal Training Awards, now in their ninth year, were created by City & Guilds to recognise excellent training and learning and development initiatives royally. These awards highlight the vital role that innovative and effective training programmes play in addressing the nation’s productivity challenges and in developing the skills needed for the future economy.

Mike Worley, Managing Director of HIT Training LTD said: “This prestigious accolade is a testament to our unwavering commitment to developing our team through cutting-edge training programmes. As a training organisation, we truly practice what we preach. The introduction of the Learner Mentor Apprenticeship has been instrumental in equipping our sector specialists with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel. This programme not only strengthens their ability to support apprentices but also inspires a deep enthusiasm for learning within our organisation.”

The Princess Royal Training Awards assessors, including top-tier experts from the Learning & Development sector and past award recipients, recognised HIT Training LTD for its innovative approach and measurable impact. The award acknowledges HIT Training Ltd’s success in implementing the Learner Mentor Apprenticeship, which has created a culture of ongoing professional growth amongst its trainers, ultimately benefiting the apprentices they support.

Kirstie Donnelly MBE, Chief Executive of City & Guilds said:

“The Princess Royal Training Awards has become the ‘gold standard’ for training, learning and development, and continues to demonstrate how these can open up opportunities and attract new talent to industries with significant skills gaps and labour shortages.

This year’s recipients have shown innovation and commitment to development within their own organisations, including those who have successfully tackled contemporary skills challenges which bring us closer to net zero, as well as others who have introduced unique and interesting programmes to ensure that traditional skills do not disappear.

We are delighted to be able to recognise their accomplishments and, as we look ahead to our 10 year celebrations of the Awards are keen to continue seeing organisations prioritising investing into training to improve both their people and organisation performance. We look forward to celebrating with this year’s recipients in the Autumn.”
