Mar 12 2025
HIT Training Ltd is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Excellence in English and Maths Skills Development at the prestigious Apprenticeship and Training Awards (ATA). This recognition celebrates our unwavering commitment to equipping apprentices with essential literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring their success in the workplace and beyond.
The Apprenticeship and Training Awards, hosted by FE Week and AELP in association with City & Guilds, shine a spotlight on the outstanding contributions made by employers and training providers across the UK. The awards honour those who demonstrate innovation, impact, and dedication in developing a skilled and diverse workforce, aligning with the evolving needs of today’s industries.
The winners were announced at a gala dinner at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool. This follows a parliamentary reception earlier last month, during National Apprenticeships Week, where all finalists were honoured at a reception in the Houses of Parliament, hosted by Mr Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
Winning this award is a testament to our commitment to Functional Skills as the cornerstone of apprenticeships, ensuring that English and maths training is not just a requirement but a fundamental enabler of success for learners and employers alike. embedding these crucial skills into our apprenticeship programmes in a way that is engaging, practical, and tailored to real-world applications. At HIT Training Ltd, we firmly believe that English and maths are vital, not only for apprentices to achieve their qualifications but also to boost their confidence, job performance, and long-term career prospects. We champion innovative teaching methods that make these subjects engaging, accessible, and relevant to real-world workplace scenarios.
Mike Worley, Managing Director of HIT Training Ltd, said,
“We are immensely proud to receive this award and remain dedicated to delivering high-quality English and maths training. Our commitment ensures that learners gain the essential skills they need to succeed, both in their careers and in driving productivity for their employers.
